Raj Oswal, Founder, Business Development, B.S. Business/ MBA
Raj Oswal is a self starting entrepreneur who has focused on bringing new products and technologies to market. He is constantly challenged by speculative revenue targets and has worked cross-functionally with marketing and business development teams to identify ways to generate strong alliances and gain revenue growth. Most recently, he had the opportunity to build the Western US region for the Linux/ Java based PDA device launched by Sharp Electronics. His goal was to capture early US market share for the enterprise segment of the handheld space. Prior to Sharp, he helped launch three high-profile startup Silicon Valley companies in the areas of Web Authoring Software, I.T. infrastructure services, and Hospitality solutions in the Silicon Valley.
Having worked with several technologies and services, he has developed a strong grasp of the entire technology landscape, most recently with consumer electronic convergence devices and the wireless platform.
Raj has a B.S. from University of California, Santa Barbara / Riverside and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Outside of the office, he enjoys Classical Indian music, tennis, and traveling.
Nandha Kumar is Lead Technical Designer for O'Interface and came
from Virtusa Software in June 2004. He has worked in different phases
of software development, primarily focused around design,
implementation, testing & deployment of requirements specifications.
He is well acquainted with Service/ Object Oriented Architecture and
the associated technologies. Prior to Virtusa, Nandha worked with
Adios, to re-develop a financial application for JP Morgan and with
Bowne Magellan to develop an Intranet Portal using a content
management solution. Nandha has a Bachelors of Engineering from
Madras University, India, and outside the office he enjoys playing the
violin.
Rajesh Subbiah is Lead Architect for O'Interface and came from Virtusa
Software in June 2004. He has worked in the domain of healthcare,
financial services, banking and Telecom primarily involved with Java,
VB.Net, & C#.Net architecture and design. He is also proficient in
Oracle (PL/SQL), SQL Sever 2000, Java and C++. His last project was
with Motorola and involved re-engineering C#.Net and Oracle
Components, and integration of these re-engineered components in the
existing legacy solution. He has also worked on several proof of
concepts for Mobile Application development using Microsoft Telephony
API. Currently Rajesh is involved in architecting a Mobile Solution
for a Business Application running on a Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC
device. Rajesh has a Bachelors of Engineering from P S G College of
Technology, India, and outside the office is an avid fan of music and
movies.
Zigi is Lead User Interface Designer for O'Interface. He has 10+ years of experience in UI design. He started his career in the advertising industry and later switched to the IT industry in 1996. He has worked on over 400 projects worldwide and speaks 5 languages. Zigi has a Bachelors Degree in Management from Mangalore University, India, and outside the office he enjoys traveling and doing social work, especially among underprivileged children.

Abe Oswal, Technical Overseer, M.S. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
Abe came from Intel to launch Neteyes, inc. and innovate a new generation of digital imaging applications. Its successor G-viz, inc. licensed out several technologies in audio-visual capture and internet-based access. His accomplishments include an array of gadgets/technologies in imaging, scanners, fax, pen, video, voice, wireless, telemetry, and instrumentation at various companies in Silicon Valley and San Diego. A founding principal at Micromax inc., he began his career at Bell Labs, has over 20 years of computer industry experience, two patents, a Computer Sc. Master’s from Northwestern, an IIT EE. Recently, his work involved medical technologies and high-throughput instrumentation for bio-tech industry.
John is currently a partner with iSherpa Capital, a Venture Capital Fund which invests in seed-stage and early-stage companies, with a focus on the Wireless sector and supporting technologies. He has over 20 years of experience in the wireless industry where he has held both operational and strategic roles.
Experience prior joining iSherpa:
- General Manager of the CDMA Chipset Business Unit of Texas Instruments
- Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at TI and directed the development of TI's first WCDMA baseband modem
- Founder and Vice President of Engineering for Dot Wireless & responsible for the semiconductor and system engineering organizations within the company
- Served on the board of directors of Dot Wireless and participated in all strategic corporate decisions leading to the growth of the company to a $475M acquisition by Texas Instruments in 2000.
- Director of Engineering for NextWave Telecom, Inc. & responsible for CDMA subscriber chipset development
- Engineering manager at QUALCOMM, Inc. 1987 to 1996 & led the development of QUALCOMM's proprietary DSP solutions from initial concept through two generations of technology & the first commercial CDMA basestation modulator VLSI device.
John holds a Master of Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, has completed the Executive Program at UCLA's Anderson School of Management and currently named inventor on 24 issued and 21 pending patents in the area of wireless communications and systems.
